| The
Vine Foundation provides the following funds for the ministry of gifts and
bequests:
Capital Improvement Fund provides financial support for repairs and expansion of the physical church building and grounds of Vine Congregational Church U.C.C. General Endowment Fund provides support for Vine Congregational Church U.C.C., including mission projects, development of clergy and lay leadership, and other programs. Margaret Myers Fund provides annual payment of amounts available from earnings and appreciation directly to the Board of Trustees of Vine Congregational Church U.C.C. for any use it deems necessary. Rasche Myers Outreach Fund provides financial support for organizations and/or programs outside Vine Congregational Church U.C.C.--but within Lincoln--whose needs are not met by others in the community. Youth Fund provides financial support for the youth ministry at Vine Congregational Church and Vine youth participating in wider church events. |

| *************** At the December meeting of the Vine Foundation Board of Directors a grant application was reviewed from Christ Temple Church to be used to install plumbing, bathroom fixtures, and flooring in the final phase of their basement renovation. Christ Temple meets in the building which housed Vine Church until the current building was constructed in the '50's. The request for $1,000 was approved from the Rasche Myers Outreach Fund. In addition, $500 was given to the Lincoln Food Bank and $500 to the Peoples City Mission from the same fund. |
