Christmas Poinsettias

You are invited to order poinsettias in memory of, or in honor of, loved ones for use in our sanctuary Dec. 1st through Christmas Eve worship, Dec. 24th.  A list of those honored will be included in our December 1st worship bulletin and our Christmas Eve bulletin. Please order your Christmas Poinsettias by Nov. 17th. We cannot accept late orders, so PLEASE be sure your order and payment is received by the church by that deadline. Additional order forms will be available in the Narthex at the Ushers' stand. Orders with payment (checks to "Vine Church") may be turned in to the church office in the box marked "Poinsettia Orders". You may take your poinsettias home with you after the Christmas Eve service. You may also choose instead to gift one or more of your red poinsettia(s) to our homebound church members, in which case the plant(s) will be delivered right away for enjoyment throughout the Advent season. [Note:  If you wish to give a poinsettia to a specific homebound church member, please talk to Pastor Renae so we do not end up with duplicates. Thank you.] Thirdly, if you would like for your poinsettia to remain in the sanctuary after Christmas, you may designate that option.

Christmas Family Craft Night Come join us on Wednesday December 4th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in the fellowship hall. We will be making Christmas crafts and have a snack. Signup sheet will be out in November. If you have questions, please see Anica Brown or Jennie Ress. Hope to see you there.

SCRIP: Honestly, it’s not for everyone……

Unless you eat or drink from time to time, or shop for various life necessities, SCRIP might not be for you. Or if you don’t enjoy the fast, convenient, no signature, no credential check-out using a gift card, SCRIP may hold no appeal.

But if I you think SCRIP would be helpful as you start to plan your holidays, remember we stock cards for grocery shopping options for Thanksgiving dinner, and we can place special orders for you from many more vendors than are listed on our order form for holiday gifts. We have options for smaller denomination cards for teacher and hostess gifts. Just ask – we are happy to help! ~The SCRIP Committee
