Vine LGBTQIA+ Ministry

 

Vine's LGBTQIA+ and Allies group created by the faith community at Vine in Lincoln, NE offers an all-inclusive safe space in the community for everyone to come together to explore various opportunities for discussion, faith, engagement, comfort, learning and fun.

An important part of what makes the UCC so wonderful is our capacity to offer compassion and
acceptance to all of God’s children. Every day we affirm the words – “No matter who you are and where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome.” This includes those of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.

Vine is committed to being open and affirming. We offer a safe space where everyone is welcome regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, age, Christian education, or any other identity factor that would, unfortunately, set them apart by many other churches and their community.

We encourage anyone who identifies as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, or who has friends or
family who do, or who seek to be an ally to the community, to join us in this alliance. Our hope
is that LGBTQIA+ is a source of fellowship, mission, and learning opportunities for the Vine family as well as the greater Lincoln community.
